CHARACTERS & THEMES

"There is a shortage of manpower in the LCA, LCC and LCD departments! Help Limbus Company lure downtrodden job seekers and hopeful graduates into joining the cause. Use the sinners to drive the corporate agenda!"

★ What are the characters we can draw? Please note that we will prioritise in this order:‣ Canon characters employed within Limbus Company (i.e. the Sinners, LCC IDs, the bus trio, NPCs like Caiman, Effie, Saude, Pilot, Erza & Mozes, etc).‣ You may also portray the sinners as part of the LCA/LCC/LCD/etc teams.‣ Other Canto characters (eg. Yuri, Samjo, Ahab, Hermann, etc), but must be portrayed as Limbus Company employees from the LCA, LCC, LCD Departments, or general job positions (eg. Accounting & Finance, HR, Admins, Janitors, Canteen Workers, etc)‣ Distortions and abnormalities in the context of a LC employee doing their job (eg. fighting/neutralizing abnos, researching, etc.)‣ Other PM games characters (eg. Roland, Angelia, Ayin, Carmen, etc.) portrayed as Limbus Company employees from the LCA, LCC, LCD Departments or general job positions.‣ OCs portrayed as members of the LCA, LCC, LCD Departments or general job positions.☆ In short: LCB Members > LCA/LCC/LCD Members > Other Canto Characters > Characters from other PM games & OCs

★ What are the concepts/topics we can choose from?
Limbus Company is a company specializing in the handling and research of distortions, and you have 3 topics of your choice to depict that:
1. Company-culture (& how great it is!)Some examples:
‣ A day in the life of an employee (either sinners, or npc, or ocs)
‣ Snapshots of employees interacting in the workplace, participating in team bonding activities, obviously enjoying themselves!‣ Company dress code: what characters usually wear!‣ Inventory showcases: Bentos/Lunch of employees, what do they bring to work, etc2. Career & JobsSome examples:‣ Get to know each of the Team (The LCA, LCB, LCC & LCD) & their representatives (LCA Ops, Dante, Caiman, Saude, Moses & Erza)‣ Spotlights/Snapshots of employees on the job, researching/fighting distortions/abnormalities, leading teams, working hard in projects, generally looking professional and cool as an employee.‣ Career progression, from rookie to seasoned manager/senior executive!‣ Inventory showcases: Tools used by employees for their jobs; Equipments and vehicles, instructions on how to operate certain tools/how to wear certain uniforms, etc.3. Recruitment PropagandaSome examples:
‣ Spot illustrations/magazine posters/advertisements with punchy corporate taglines.
‣ Interviews with the various canon or non-canon employees of Limbus company

"Dear Managers, a reminder that the Limbus Company Bus (LCB) department is currently full, hence we will not be recruiting for them."

Please ensure any links shared as part of your application are viewable by the moderators. If your links do not work, we will not be contacting you to make adjustments.★ Artists' Portfolio Requirements:
‣ Portfolios should be SFW, but may contain gore and violence. Any portfolios containing Sexual NSFW content will automatically be disregarded.

CONTRIBUTOR EXPECTATIONS

Not sure which role you'd like? Here's a breakdown of them!

★ The Cover Artist is expected to create an illustration spread that will serve as the cover. Communication is expected within the mod team to ensure the cover accommodates space for a title and other formatting needs.★ Page Artists will be creating a single page of art showcasing characters and their assigned topic.★ Spread Artists will create a double-page spread illustration showcasing characters and their assigned topic. Comics, environmental pieces and magazine-styled graphics are highly encouraged.★ Spot Artists will focus on creating 5-6 smaller-scale spot illustrations. Art pieces are expected to take up ⅓ - ⅔ of a page/spread. These illustrations will have transparent backgrounds and will be formatted alongside text-heavy pages.‣ Your pieces may also be used as promo materials, or additional merch!★ Merch Artists may only sign up for Merch & Spot Illustrations. This means you'll create a piece of merch for our bundle and create spot illustrations for your assigned topic. Your spot illustrations would be formatted alongside text heavy pages.★ Writers will be expected to write around 5-6 short pieces of content ranging around 150-300 words each, based on the assigned themes. Examples include articles, short blurbs, quotes and interviews for characters, and worldbuilding aspects relating to Limbus Company and how it’s like as an employee.‣ You may choose to write longer pieces (up to 500 words) as well! Feel free to discuss with us: we want to ensure the workload is manageable for you to complete within the deadline.‣ Your pieces will be formatted and accompanied with a minimum of 1-2 spot illustrations.

CONTRIBUTORS F.A.Q.

★ How old do you have to be to participate?
All applicants must be 18 years by the time of acceptance emails going out.
★ How many contributors are you looking to recruit?
We're looking at around 30 page artists, 5 spot/merch artists and 5 writers, but no more than 50 total participants (including mods!)
★ Are non-western contributors accepted?
Of course! We welcome everyone who are interested in participating in this zine. Just a note that we will need you to be able to communicate with us - the current mod team is well-versed in English, Mandarin, and French!
★ How will topics be selected?
You'll have the option to select compositions you're confident in creating. Upon entry into the zine's discord server, you'll have the opportunity to pitch your idea for your assigned page theme.
★ Are we allowed to depict gore in our pieces?
Yes you may, but within context of the theme (eg. job hazards, scene of employees injured while supressing a distortion, etc).
★ Are ships allowed?
Romantic ships will not be the focus of this zine and we will not be allowing romantic ship explicit focused work in the final product.
★ Is this zine pro-ship friendly?
So long as your conduct is respectful, we do not care what ships, characters, etc. you enjoy or have created for outside of the zine.
★ Can I apply for multiple roles?
Yes, but contributors may be accepted for only one role.
★ Will you be sending rejection emails as well as acceptance emails? Will I be able to get feedback?
Yes, we will send both acceptance, rejection, and waiting list emails to all applicants. While the mod team will try our best to provide feedback about your portfolio when requested, we ask for your understanding if we are unable to do so at the time.
